Anyway, as I said, I went ranging different monsters to see a) what grabbed my attention, b) gave a balance of exp vs. drops and 3) wasn’t overly crowded. Would you be surprised that the answer is red dragons? I figured out a neat system for training down in the bowels of Brimhaven, with much thanks to Tazlike for telling me to bury the damned bones. BTW, I bought 3k broad bolt tips and fletched them into proper bolts to use rather than bone bolts. The drops make up for the cost of buying the tips. I take a pack yak and about 150 winter storage scrolls, plus 30 casts of high alchemy for miscellaneous weapons like mith 2 handers and rune long swords. When my inventory is full of hides, I cast winter storage and send them to the bank. I spent a couple hours down there tonight (no egg, but I’m crossing my fingers). The long-distance maths suggest I can get 99 range by the end of December by firing pokey bits into 250 big red lizards every day (except the weekends). Tentatively t here may be a drop party; I’m trying to collect and keep all the range items dropped like darts, javalins and arrows. I’m collecting the hides, too, so if you are desperate for red dhide, I can do something about that. I did something stupid. I went player killing. Well, technically I’d call it player dying since that’s all I did. I lost a few sets of black dhide, all my ice gloves and dds, a chompy hat and various achievement diary items. I camped out at the ice queen, who is not so tough these days rofl, flaying her open 15 times (all the open space in my pack). I refound all my replaceable gear like the prayer books and that. I also headed out to the Wildy for green dragon slaying AND I wore real combat gear! The point of these 2 adventures was to tick them off my achievements list on Runewise. I found all the pumpgiuns this morning and threw the exp into runecrafting.
